I am pleased to announce my first exhibition, entitled ‘Victory’!
20TH JUNE – 4TH JULY 2021 on Kunsmatrix.
This online exhibition will tell and celebrate the stories of resilience of 13 women worldwide, woven and painted. Pieces will vary from wearable art (shawls, scarves and babywraps) to wall art.
This project emerged following the public sharing of my #metoo story in October 2020, where I felt for the first time that I came out of this trauma victorious, somehow…
I wanted to have more women and non-binary femmes tell their victorious stories with threads and colours. One artwork will be auctioned; the rest has been sold before they were made.
I would like to sincerely thank all participants of this project and my sponsors, S.E and Saltwater Rose Studio.
I cannot wait for you to appreciate the resilience of these participants, and I am sure you will relate on more than one level.
